O wyłączeniu w 2013 roku naziemnego analogowego sygnału telewizyjnego wciąż nie słyszała blisko połowa Polaków, jednocześnie atuty technologii cyfrowej, dostępne obecnie m.in. za pośrednictwem platform satelitarnych , cieszą się dużym zainteresowaniem wśród telewidzów.
